Welcome to Workwell UK. We are an established company based in Glasgow, Lanarkshire in the west of Scotland providing health care and occupational health medicine.
We have developed a new service providing treatment to people who feel they are drinking too much and finding it difficult to reduce their drinking. We can also provide treatment for those who would prefer to achieve abstinence. People have been reluctant in the past to come forward for treatment for alcohol related issues. Studies suggest that many people wish to cut down their alcohol consumption to within recommended levels but do not wish to be completely abstinent. We use a combination of counselling and prescribing as part of a alcohol treatment plan. There is now medication available which can be used to reduce alcohol consumption as well as established medication to promote abstinence. We strongly adhere to a philosophy of adopting a joint approach with patients as this has been shown to have better outcomes and higher patient satisfaction.
